Perfect Presentations Made Easy
In business today, the ability to deliver a persuasive presentation is one of the most valuable skills you can have. Billions of dollars of opportunities are either realized or lost each day based upon the effectiveness of presentations. With this in mind companies are spending millions of dollars training their team members how to be more effective presenters.

Presentation Day: Your Checklist for Success
If you've done your preparation, the actual day of your presentation should be an event to look forward to. But there are a few more things you can do that day to ensure a successful outcome to your presentation as well as your own enjoyment of the entire experience. Think of the day of a presentation like the day of a big race for a runner. Runners spend hours every week, if not every day, preparing themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally for competition. When the day of the race arrives, the runners are as ready as they can possibly make themselves. Yet if you watch the top runners, they all have different routines they follow to make sure that when the starting gun goes off, they'll be in top form. As a presenter you, too, can develop routines that will help you be your best when you're introduced to a group and it's your turn to "run." Let's start with some suggestions for preparing yourself the night before.

Create a Rock Solid Foundation: Prepare Yourself-Phase One
Have you ever tried to climb a ladder that was planted in soft ground? You can do it, but the ladder can shift unexpectedly and throw you off-balance, making it difficult for you to reach your objective. No matter how solidly built the ladder or how clear your objective, your ladder needs to be standing on solid ground. Preparation gives the ladder of your presentation the solid ground it needs for you to be successful.

Climbing the Ladder of Outstanding Presentations
The Four Components of Outstanding Presentations
1. Focus on your outcome.
2. Prepare yourself.
3. Communicate with integrity and power.
4. Fire-UP! your audience to achieve your outcome.

No One's a Born Speaker - But Speaking is Natural
Back in 1989, I was in Los Angeles, California, getting ready to speak in front of a thousand people at a sales training seminar. My job was to do a three-minute introduction for the main speaker of the day. I'd been the National Sales Manager for the seminar sales training company for a couple of years, and I was pretty comfortable doing presentations before groups of five to fifty people. But a thousand? That was terrifying.

What is a Powerful and Persuasive Presentation?
Think about the great presenters you have seen, or you've heard about from history. What do they have in common? What was it about them or their presentations that caused you to go, "Wow, that was great"?

I've made a study of great speakers and presentations, and I believe that a powerful, persuasive presentation can be defined very simply.
